Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She grew up in a multiethnic household. Her parents are Malaysian and the Sri Lankan. Her father Elroy Fernandez comes from Sri Lanka. Her siblings include two brothers and one older sister. The 80s were the time when her parents emigrated to Bahrain due to civil unrest over Sri Lanka. As a result, she was born and raised there. She received a scholarship to attend an undergraduate program at the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia following the completion of her schooling in Bahrain. With a love of the world of languages and cultures, she took part in the Berlitz school of languages, which is where she began to learn Spanish as well as improve her French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed in the Miss Universe 2006 and Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she took home the title in 2006. In 2006 she won she won the Miss Sri Lanka title. Prakash Padukone has retired as an international badminton player, while her mother is also a travel agent.
